Vlook agrees that we have an obligation to protect our environment and to operate our business in as green a manner as possible.
As a company we have taken a number of steps to be green and to carbon offset where possible.
- Our aim is to keep energy, paper and waste to a bare minimum and carbon offset where possible.
- We have reduced our energy levels in a number of ways, for example reducing the amount of paper and stationary used.
- In the office we try to use as much natural light as possible and only use artificial lighting when necessary. To further reduce energy loss from lighting we have replaced all our old light bulbs with energy saving bulbs.
- We turn off lights and standby devices when not in use.
- We have removed the air-conditioning unit in favour of using bigger windows.
- We have replaced old monitors with flat screens.
- We use computer equipment that is more energy efficient.
- We recycle all waste where possible.
- We carbon offset by sharing equipment such as servers/server rooms etc and grow trees, plants and bushes in our grounds as well as support our local environment
